Temporary Employment Contract

A temporary employment contract is a contract that is given to employees who will cease to work for a business after a previously specified period. Typically, temporary employees are helped to find work through temporary employment, or "temp" agencies. Temporary employment contracts usually stipulate that the business pays the temp agency for the use of the temporary employee. The agency, which referred the employee, then pays his salary. In certain cases, the business may choose to give the temporary employee full or partial health care benefits. Temporary employees may also be seasonal or cyclical, depending upon the needs of the business. If the business is satisfied with the work of the temporary employee, they may choose to hire them to either full-time or part-time employment.
